SEAL America campaign to make stop in Jefferson City

Friday, August 29, 2008 | 2:08 p.m. CDT

COLUMBIA — The SEAL America campaign will hold a public communion service at 11:23 a.m. on Saturday at the state Capitol building. The grassroots movement, established and officiated by the Rev. Larry Huggins, is traveling to every state capitol in America during 2008. Missouri is the 35th state the group has visited.

The mission of the campaign remains non-political; it's a call to all Americans to pray for the restoration of the country and to ask for the continuation of God's blessing on it, according to a news release from the campaign.

The gathering will be held on the seal of the Capitol to take communion and rally for all attendees to join in prayer.
