E. Dale Walker

E. Dale Walker of Columbia died Friday, May 16, 2008, at Boone Hospital Center. He was 75.
Mr. Walker was born March 17, 1933, in Hartsburg to Louie and Gladys (Hinshaw) Walker.
He was a graduate of Ashland High School and served in Korea with the U.S. Marines from 1952 to 1955. He worked at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Eagles Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.
Mr. Walker was previously married to Mary Jewell Reynolds. He married Geraldine Scantlin on Feb. 21, 1998, in Columbia.
Mr. Walker is survived by his wife; two sons, Roger Walker and Gary Walker, and one daughter, Kathy Sapp, all of Columbia; two step-daughters, Christy Craig of Columbia and Cheryl Koonse of Boonville; a sister, Helen Wintermeyer of Jefferson City; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
His first wife and a daughter, Linda Baucom, died earlier.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Home, and burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
