Jean W. Smith

COLUMBIA — Jean W. Smith of Columbia died Monday, May 12, 2008. She was 83.
She was born on June 2, 1924, in McBaine to Clarence and Lola Martin Warren. She married Robert G. Smith Sr. on Feb. 20, 1948, in Columbia.
Mrs. Smith graduated from University High School in Columbia in 1944 and was a member of Memorial Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Robert G. Smith Jr., and two sisters, Allene Davidson and Nellie Roberts, all of Columbia.
Her husband and a sister, Marjorie Wayland, died earlier.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
