Lloyd W. "Waddie" Nichols

COLUMBIA — Lloyd W. “Waddie” Nichols of Holts Summit died Friday, May 2, 2008. He was 82.
Mr. Nichols was born Nov. 11, 1925, in Boone County to Thomas and Lydia Bell Purcell Nichols.
He married Evelyn Watson on Dec. 17, 1950, in Ashland.
Mr. Nichols served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He also worked in construction until his retirement and was a foreman in the union.
Mr. Nichols is survived by his wife; one son, Dennis Nichols of Hartsburg; two daughters, Leslie Hughes and Sharon Cain, both of Holts Summit; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Two sons, Mark Kent Nichols and Lloyd Thomas Nichols, and seven brothers died earlier.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Robinson Funeral Home, 601 N. Henry Clay Blvd. in Ashland. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home.
