Willie Mae Rogers

Willie Mae Rogers of Columbia died Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at The Bluffs nursing center. She was 83.
Ms. Rogers was born Oct. 1, 1924, in Marigold, Miss., to Columbus Barton and Dora Sneed. She was a member of Sugar Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Lovell Anderson and Lonnie Anderson, both of Columbia; three daughters, Eunice Edwards and Kathleen Anderson, both of Columbia, and Dorlinda Miller of Rockford, Ill.; a brother, Benny Barton of Chicago; a sister, Mamie Sneed of Pace, Miss.; a god-sister, Rutha Mae Hall of Pace, Miss.; 21 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Three husbands, Willis Rogers, Willie Dean Anderson and the Rev. Ollie Sallee; and a son, Dean Anderson, died earlier.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Warren Funeral Chapel, 12 E. Ash St. Services, conducted by the Rev. Harry Williams, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Sugar Grove Baptist Church, 5400 E. Sugar Grove Road. Burial will be at Rock Bridge Cemetery.
